There are two [2] ways of Updating your phone firmware easily, I will list & Explain them, namely: 1. OTA Update 2. Using Nokia Software Updater.

OTA UPDATE
OTA [Over The Air] Updating is done through your Phone, & You must be on an Internet Bundle to Update your Phone, The Update will be Download and Auto-Install. Follow this Steps to Update your Phone Over the Air.
Menu => Application => SW Update and Open it.
It will Auto Connect to the Internet & Refresh the List of Available Update for your Phone, Click on the First One and your Phone will download the Update usually about [15MB]. Then it will Restart and Its Updated.

2. USING NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER
This is Usually done on your PC, Using a Software Called Nokia Software to Update your Phone Firmware.
=> THINGS TO DO BEFORE FIRMWARE UPDATING
1. Backup all your Phone Content.
2. Charge your phone battery to its full level.

STEP TO FOLLOW TO UPDATE YOUR PHONE VIA NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER
1. Carefully open the back case of your mobile, and also take away the battery and write down the product number.
2. Visit Here and type the product number. You’ll now know if a new version of firmware for your Nokiamobile phone is available
3. Download the Nokia Software Updater. Search nokia website to download it, Install it on your PC after Downloading.
4. Connect your Nokia mobile phone via the USB port, and also make sure your computer is connected to the internet. [Do not make Use of Free Browsing].
5. Run the Nokia Software Updater by clicking on the icon on your desktop
6. The Nokia Software Updater connects to the internet, checks for updates, and then detects your phone to start installing firmware updates for your Nokia phone.
NOTE: You might see some Funny Stuff on your Phone while Updating it, Its Normal. Just Ignore it and make sure you dont shake the phone.
7. When all’s done, the updater gives a confirmation message and then the phone restarts, You can now disconnect the phone from the computer.
